Faye & Lewis Manderson Fund

Lewis Manderson grew up in Cordova. After a lifetime of hard work and establishing successful
businesses and investments, Mr. Manderson and his wife Faye, wanted to give back to the community that raised him. Together they pledged a total of $500,000, over five years, for the
advancement and improvement of their beloved Cordova, Alabama.

Upon announcing this generous investment in Cordova, the Manderson’s issued a challenge to another philanthropist, Beth Thorne Stukes, to match them. The challenge was answered!
Through a dollar for dollar match, a total of $1 million is being given for the rebuilding of
Cordova.

According to Foundation Board Members, this is exactly the type of leveraged investment
needed to move Walker County to become everything it possible can be.
