The Founder's Society was established to honor those individuals who had the vision to see the importance of establishing a community foundation in order to foster a spirit of philanthropy in the Walker County Area. Members of the Founder's Society have given or are giving a minimum of $10,000 to $14,999 the Walker Area Community Foundation. Once there is an agreement to make a contribution, the donor is, at that moment, a member of The Founder's Society. This way the donor can make the contribution at his or her convenience. The first 100 donors will be considered charter members of the Founder's Society. Perpetual recognition of members will be published in the Community Foundation's annual report.
